Vertical Rescue - Specialised Hardware Option

Aim

The aim of this course is to demonstrate specialised vertical rescue hardware and give the participants opportunities to practice the use of technical equipment in order to develop time efficiency.

Description

This course is designed for persons already qualified in vertical rescue.
Practical scenarios are specifically tailored to practice the use of technical equipment such as winches, edge management products, and stretchers.

Duration

The course can be conducted over a nominated time of 1 day.


Duration may vary with different groups’ requirements.

Unit/s of Competence

This is not a nationally accredited training.

Accreditation

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Risk Response & Rescue Certificate of Participation.

Participants have to be vertical rescue qualified.

Assessment

Participants are required to demonstrate an acceptable level of competency.
Participants must be able to anticipate issues, implement relevant procedures, and conduct a variety of rescues.
