Aim |
The aim of this course is to introduce the use of the helicopter in cliff rescue. |
Description |
This course is designed for persons already qualified in vertical rescue who may be involved in helicopter rescue or for aircrewmen looking at developing their cliff rescue skills. Practical scenarios are specifically tailored to practice helicopter transport in and out of the cliff face. |
Duration |
The course can be conducted over a nominated time of 2 days.

There is not a nationally recognised Unit of Competency awarded for this course. |
Accreditation |
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Risk Response + Rescue Certificate of Participation. |

Prerequisites |
Participants have to be vertical rescue qualified or aircrew qualified. |
Assessment |
Participants are required to demonstrate an acceptable level of competency. Participants must be able to anticipate issues, implement relevant procedures, and conduct a variety of rescues. |
