Vertical Rescue - Canyoning Option

Aim

The aim of this course is to adapt vertical rescue skills to the requirements of the canyoning environment.

Description

This course is designed for persons already qualified in vertical rescue.
Practical scenarios are tailored to practice the techniques specific to the combination of heights and water environments.

Duration

The course can be conducted over a nominated time of 1 day.


Duration may vary with different groups’ requirements.

Unit/s of Competence

This is not a nationally accredited training.

Accreditation

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Risk Response & Rescue Certificate of Participation.

Prerequisites

Participants have to be vertical rescue qualified

Assessment

Participants are required to demonstrate an acceptable level of competency.
Participants must be able to anticipate issues, implement relevant procedures, and conduct a variety of rescues.
