Aim 

The aim of the program is to train participants in the basic response procedures for workplace emergencies, focusing on employer safety & minimal combatant action. 

Description

 This program exposes participants to a variety of scenarios relating to workplace emergencies. Basic hard skill awareness is delivered & an adventure based activity is used to consolidate their own understanding of risk & adversity management concepts. The program promotes basic emergency response procedures in the workplace and provides an awareness of legal & legislative requirements is also provided.
This program also includes an adventure based activity in order to create an experiential learning environment for participants.

Accreditation

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Risk Response & Rescue Certificate stating the information covered, duration of training, date of issue, location of training and general remarks.

There are no pre-requisites for this program.

Assessment

To achieve competency, participants must demonstrate a minimum level of skill and knowledge in accordance with the unit/s of competence and be able to transfer their skills and knowledge to other contexts. Participants are required to demonstrate competency in managing a basic response to a workplace emergency situation including notification of an appropriate emergency service.
