Alpine Climbing

Aim

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to access the climb, ascend and retreat safely in an alpine environment.                                                                         

Description

This course is tailored for climbers who want to open up their practice to mountainous areas where they could encounter snow and ice.

Duration

This is a three day course.

Unit/s of Competence

This course is not nationally accredited.

Accreditation

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Risk Response & Rescue Certificate of participation.

Pre-Requisites

There are no pre-requisites to this course.

Assessment

Participants are required to maintain safety for the approach, the climb and the descent.
