Advanced Outdoor Course

Aim

The aim of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to rock climb autonomously outdoor.                                                                           

Description

This course is intended for climbers who want to gather the knowledge and skills necessary to climb safely multi-pitch climbs on bolts or trad gear.

Duration

This is a 3 days course.

Unit/s of Competence

This is a nationally accredited course.

Accreditation

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Risk Response & Rescue Certificate of attainment.

  • Science of falls
  • Standards, guidelines and policies
  • Preparation, inspection, maintenance and use of equipment 
  • Leading
  • Belaying
  • Anchors
  • Environment considerations

Pre-Requisites

There are no pre-requisites to this course.

Assessment

Participants are required to maintain safety while climbing and belaying.
