On the 11th day of the 11th month each year, we pause for a minutes silence in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
This year marks the 99th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18).
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
Lest we forget.
