Members of the Royal Volunteer Coastal Patrol undertook training and assessment in the operation of portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and fire pumps in a marine context at Lake Macquarie.

All those in attendance received the necessary underpinning knowledge before applying and demonstrating their skills first hand on a live fire.
