• Working experience as a roustabout, shearer, station hand, drover, mine rescue team member and mine rescue emergency response co-ordinator.

Snap-shot

Rob has extensive and credible experience relating to emergency response, operational leadership, emergency management, and front line rescue in fields of emergency services, mining, industrial and community rescue. He has also coordinated the emergency management, first response and logistical elements of the Outback Challenge extreme off-road event. He has considerable hands-on experience in recovering persons and vehicles from extremely remote, hostile and high risk surface and underground environments.

Rob is currently employed as an emergency response supervisor for four mines and is responsible for the emergency preparedness of one of Australia’s largest underground mining systems.

Currently competent and accrediting others in operational leadership, risk management, mine rescue, hazardous substances, confined spaces, vehicle extrication, vehicle recovery, vertical, underground and surface fire fighting, height safety, tunneling, dangerous goods, safety with heavy plant and equipment.
