Snap-shot | David has extensive and credible experience as a practitioner of mines rescue, and incident management. Specifically, in relation to training and assessment, David has demonstrated competency and workplace experience in the fields of emergency response, OH&S management, fire fighting and pre-hospital care. David has competency and workplace experience in underground search and rescue, road accident rescue, vertical rope rescue, hazmat response and the use of many and varied breathing apparatus. In his capacity as an Emergency Response Station Officer (SO), David has fulfilled roles including Incident Controller, Emergency Response Commander and Rescue Team Leader for surface and underground fire fighting and rescue operations. He has also been responsible for the development and conduct of emergency response foundation training and skills maintenance for mines rescue volunteers as a senior instructor, facilitator and technical advisor. Amongst his extensive qualifications, David also holds a Diploma of Management and a Diploma of Paramedical Science (Ambulance) David has had nine years of Military Service with the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps. During this time his active service duties included Aero Medical Evacuation (AME) and Primary Health Care. His responsibilities also included the provision of field hospital resuscitation, medium dependency and low dependency wards, management and maintenance of emergency medical equipment, clinical instruction and supervision of medics. |
