Andrew is one of Australia's most competent Mountain Climbing and Remote Area trekking guides. His expertise as an international expedition leader and logistician is highly sought after, with a resume that includes climbing all fourteen of the world’s 8000 metre mountains and involvement in several Antarctic expeditions. Through his unique experience, Andrew has developed an extensive range of Search and Rescue techniques including SAR theory, cliff and crevasse rescue, advanced first aid, and confined space access to name a few. He is also a competent ocean racer, scuba diver, paraglider pilot, mountain biker, climbing guide and adventure traveller. In October 2009, Andrew completed his 16 year project to be the first Australian to climb all fourteen of the world’s 8000 metre mountains, with his first Australian ascent of Tibet’s Mt Shishapangma. |
