Staff Induction
Due to the nature of RR+R’s operational requirements in delivery of training on client sites and the nature of casual employees engaged for training specific to their fields of expertise, inductions are held on a one-on-one basis. These are conducted by either the Managing Director or the Training and Office Manager.
Procedure
All training staff will be given*:
- Assessment & Training Plans
- Child Protection forms
- Code of Practice
- Course Workbooks for RR+R Certificates (for Trainers only)
- Current downloads from ANTA site
- Policies and Procedures Manual
- Induction notes on CBT
- Job Description
- Pay and Conditions
- Roles and Responsibilities list
- Staff handbook
- Participant handbook
- Tax Declaration Form
* Many of these items will be included in staff induction manual.
Highlights of materials issued will be identified and will include location of:
- OH&S Act
- All Acts & regulations relevant to their field
- Course materials
- Training Packages
- Support materials for training Package
- Assessment System and proformas
- First Aid box
- Evacuation procedures
The person responsible for the induction will make sure that the CV and other relevant documents are placed in a created staff file under the inductees name.
Introductions will be made to members of staff, venues & facilities.
Where appropriate any computer requirements, including on-line information, will be demonstrated.
All equipment will be checked and demonstrated.
RR+R guidelines regarding the use of stationery and equipment will be described.
The staff member being inducted will sign off on all this information – see Staff Induction Form.
