25. Rights & Responsibilities


25.1 Policy


25.1.1 Employees’ Rights


Employees have the right:

 

  • To expect RR+R to be a fair, equitable and supportive employer, meeting its financial, educational and other obligations to its employees promptly and efficiently.
  • To expect RR+R to be ethical in all its dealings with its employees, to observe its duty of care to them and to comply with the conditions of a Certified Agreement, Award or other contract.
  • To be treated with fairness, dignity and openness.
  • To work in a clean and safe environment free of all forms of harassment and discrimination.
  • To privacy and confidentiality and secure storage of their records in accordance with our policies to the extent permitted by law.
  • To be consulted, in advance, of proposed changes to the conditions under which they work and to the policies and procedures with which they are involved.
  • To offer suggestions for the improvement of the company’s work practices at any time.
  • To a regular, fair and frank appraisal of their professional performance and an opportunity to respond to feedback.
  • To complain through appropriate channels.
  • To be encouraged in further development and professional opportunities.


25.1.2 Employees’ Responsibilities


Employees are responsible for:

 

  • Carrying out the duties of their position with diligence and efficiency, and in accordance with their job description.
  • Being conversant with, and observing, all Policies, Procedures, Codes and OH&S applicable to their position.
  • Observing RR+R’s Mutual Recognition requirements.
  • Treating employees and course participants with dignity, fairness and openness.
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly and safe working environment.
