Issuing Qualifications & Statements of Attainment

Policy

RR+R delivers training in a number of areas, which combines a number of units of competency from different training packages. Training packages/courses are customised and the units of competence may differ from courses having the same generic title.

The director will identify the units and match the training and assessment requirements for those units.

The course package will contain the appropriate competency record for each candidate.

The issuing of RR+R Certificates or Statements of Attainment of competency must be authorised by the Director. He/she may delegate the production of the RR+R Certificates.

Procedure

RR+R staff will ensure the following:

  • Confirm correct spelling of participants’ names.
  • The attendance sheet is returned to the office marked, signed and dated.
  • The Competency Record is completed, signed and dated by the Assessor. Participants are informed verbally at course completion of their results.
The results will be one of the following:
    - Competent
    - Competent with conditions
    - Not yet competent
    - Continuing
    - Withdrawn
    - Not yet competent - not assessed.
  • The Director must sight the completed competency record. He will authorise the production and issuing of a RR+R Certificate and/or Statement of Attainment when appropriate.
  • Enter details into VETrak,
  • Locate appropriate RR+R Certificate in Microsoft Word file.
  • Check the spelling, date, and assessor's signature.
  • Enter participant's name on the RR+R Certificate.
  • Director to sign

All RR+R Certificates require unique numbers that are sequentially allocated and should not be replaced unless the original is returned and destroyed.

If this original cannot be returned then a note should be placed in the course record file describing the circumstances and the new number noted as a replacement copy.
