Course Delivery

Policy

Trainers and Assessors

All training staff will be selected under the Staff Recruitment Policy and will have a demonstrated understanding of Adult Education principles. Trainers in the accredited courses must reach the minimum standard required either by the training Package or VETAB - whichever is higher.
When team instruction is employed as a strategy then at least one of the trainers must be fully qualified and experienced and be present throughout the training.

Support for the professional development for all training staff will be provided where possible according to the Staff Development and Practice policy.

Facilities

Although RR+R does not have direct control over client’s buildings used for the training, all reasonable steps will be taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.

All venues used for accredited training shall be evaluated to fulfil the requirements for VETAB registration. Where practicable, the training / assessing environment will be in a clean and tidy state with adequate ventilation, heating, cooling and lighting. Adequate toilet facilities shall be available.

Instruction Methods and Materials

During the course planning and development appropriate training methods will be identified and practised. All materials will be relevant and enhance participant learning. Training sessions are subject to random evaluations to check quality. Particular attention will be paid to the requirements of the Training Package. The non-endorsed components will be vetted, monitored and document controlled.

Flexibility

RR+R will, where possible, deliver courses at different times and places according to client needs.

RR+R is investigating ways of converting parts of courses to electronic form.
