Subject Matter Experts
Risk Response + Rescue are seeking highly experienced qualified and motivated operational trainers and subject matter experts to join our team and support our assessor's, working on a casual basis in the expanding high risk operational environments we service. This role would be suitable for persons already working in an operational capacity with industry qualifications and experience.
We are seeking persons with sufficient subject matter expertise, to conduct or support training, assessment and consultancy in their field of expertise.
We are seeking persons who can offer client specific services in the many high risk operational environments we operate which include:
Land, Marine, Alpine, Underground and Aviation sectors
Encompassing the following disciplines in the above contexts:
Rescue team leadership, Workplace Safety, Open circuit compressed air breathing apparatus, Closed circuit oxygen re-breathing apparatus, First Aid (strong emphasis on emergency response), Casualty Management – stabilisation, extrication & transport, Height Safety, rope access and vertical rescue, Confined Spaces – safe work and rescue, Critical Incident Management, Firemanship and fire fighting, Hazardous substances and materials, Rescue from vehicle, vessels and aircraft, Outdoor and adventure activities, Navigation and survival.
For example: confined space entry or emergency response in a marine or aviation context.
We specialise in the planning and execution of risk management, emergency management, and frontline emergency response & rescue. Our clients are typically from heavy industry in the fields of rescue, government, mining,industrial, petroleum, power generation, commercial and rural sectors.
To be successful in this position:
Essential criteria:
- Apply the Risk Response + Rescue values and policies to all aspects of the job role
- Undertake security checks with Police and Child Protection.
- Ability to work un-supervised and as part of a team
- Be able to demonstrate operational experience & competency within your area of expertise.
- Have above average interpersonal skills
- Applicable state construction induction qualification (or be prepared to acquire)
- Be prepared to impart your knowledge and skills to others
Desirable criteria:
- Ability to travel interstate, nationally and interstate when necessary
- Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAA40104 or TAE40110 – for trainers and assessors)
- Experience in or proven ability to develop, review, plan and deliver training and assessment or consulting services to meet the identified competency requirements or needs of the target group.
