National Business Development Manager

Exciting New Business Expansion Opportunity

Risk Response + Rescue has an excellent reputation in providing client specific services in consultancy, training, equipment supply and partnerships in all high risk operational environments.  Building on this success, RR+R is expanding into an exciting new business venture to provide on-site personnel to carry out the complete range of risk management, emergency preparedness and response and security services for key clients.

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager who can identify and secure such business opportunities and establish the on-site resourcing, infrastructure and systems to deliver these services.

Reporting directly to the Directors of RR+R Personnel, the Business Development Manager will be required to:

• Develop an understanding of the RR+R business model, resources and systems along with those of our services partner.
• Establish relationships with our existing clients and develop a wider network of relationships in mining and heavy industrial industries who are potential clients for this premium service.
• Identify opportunities, liaise with potential clients and participate with our Support Centre in the formulation of proposals and tenders in order to acquire such contracts.
• Project manage the ramp-up and commissioning of site resources, infrastructure and systems, in coordination with our Support Centre, in order to deliver the services and meet the key performance indicators agreed with the client.
• Oversee the site manager of the project to ensure our ongoing performance meets or exceeds expectations.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A practical knowledge of emergency response, risk and rescue having operated as an emergency response officer or team member.
• Experience in the management of security services.
• A working knowledge of the National VET Framework.
• A business oriented perspective to ensure sustainable opportunities are developed.
• Demonstrated successful people and project management skills.
• A preparedness to travel nationally and internationally on a regular basis.
• Relevant qualifications in the above areas would be well regarded.
• Security clearances, or the ability to obtain them, for entrance to mining and industrial sites and international travel.

Whilst this position will be based at our National Support Centre in Wollongong, we are offering the flexibility to operate from your home based location.  An attractive remuneration package including salary, incentive, superannuation and car will be negotiated for the right candidate.
